A very busy bee

Snapped in my garden this afternoon.

Here’s a few other photos from my garden. The poor old Monarch is not looking good – I’m guessing it’s on its last days.

We’ve got some swan plants in the garden, so attracting a few. I suspect they are laying their eggs (if that’s what they do!). So expect we will have some monarch caterpillars arriving soon.

I love how you caught the bee in mid flight Michelle, very nice. I never realised that Monarch made it as far as NZ.

Hi Paul, I think the Monarch made it as far south as Christchurch – but not much further. I grew up a lot further south and don’t remember them as a kid. But is seems that most Cantabrians have memories of swan plants at school.
