View from the Museum Cafe of the Botanic Gardens

I recently had a request via the Facebook page, to feature some photos of the big trees in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. So these photos are for you Di…

The first one is shot from the cafe in the museum – I highly recommend a visit to the museum and the cafe (the World of Wearable Arts exhibit is amazing). The cafe has wonderful views of the gardens and it was very pleasant sitting there sipping on my latte and looking out at the trees and watching people playing frisbee.

The Archery Lawn – such a wonderful space

Thank you so much Michelle, I just love the peace of the expanses of lawn surrounded by such stately old trees. As I said, they make me feel grounded and time seems less important. They endure, they withstand and they go on giving serenity, shelter and beauty.
