These shipping containers on Main Road (not far from Ferrymead) have had a makeover recently with pretty pictures of Christchurch added to them – makes them seem a lot less ominous. The containers are there to protect us in case the cliff collapses. There were no containers there for quite a while and I’ve walked past that spot a few times and thought ‘yikes walk quickly’ – so was a little nervous in retrospect for myself when I saw they’d been installed!
