The Bicycle Band

The band did not play on, they cycled off into the hail (can't blame them one little bit!)

I was engrossed in the Earth from Above photography exhibition which is all along the Rolleston Ave at the moment, when I heard a brass band start playing. A short walk down to the museum revealed they were in the ‘Waiting for a Bus’ carousel. They played until the weather packed in – the wind came up and it started hailing. I got caught out in the hail (see photo below of how quickly it lined the paths).

Hail stones settled quickly in Hagley Park

The hail stopped after 5 minutes or so, but we are expecting snow overnight or tomorrow. They are predicting that this snow dump is going to be bigger than the one we had a few weeks back. We’ve dragged the gas heater out of the garage in case we lose power again (fingers crossed we don’t!).

    Message for Michelle,
I am trying to find contact details for Brett Painter from the CHCH bicycle band. Do you have any contact details?
