I’ve been watching the little tree on the right change colour these past few weeks  (it’s on Bridle Path Road not far from the turn off to Ferrymead Park). I’ve been admiring the tree and marvelling at mother nature – it just gets on and does its thing right on cue. I’m rather looking forward to Autumn as Christchurch is still a beautiful place to be as you can see from this shot (looking up towards Mount Pleasant). The bird life around this area is amazing, and I am privileged to hear bell birds and other assorted bird life during the day, but especially early evening as they are settling down for the night – the sound is amazing. I even like the calls of the local family of magpies :).
