An ice plant flowering at Sumner.

We had another big after shock today – it was 5.0 but felt much bigger as it was close to the city and shallow. It has really unnerved a lot of people. I think the worst part is that you just start to get used to not having an earthquake and then out of the blue one or sometimes two happen – often in quick succession. And then it goes quiet again, and you get lulled into a false sense of security. After the last one I was ready to pack my bags and head to my mother’s house down south away from all the shaking and the boom and the house rattling.
