Mario is a favourite at the World Busker’s Festival (which runs until Jan 31st). He hasn’t been here for a few years, but it’s great to see him back this year, as his act is so much fun and he has a lot of crowd appeal! If you are in Christchurch this week then go and see his act.  Today, he was joined by Betty Brawn – one very strong woman, who lifted him up like he weighed nothing!

Nice pics and story Michelle. I always try to catch any act by buskers, we have some quite good ones locally, although the recent cold and snow has put off the less hardy ones.

Yay thank you for voting for Mario – he is definitely my fav by a long shot and you captured him brilliantly – great work michelle. I saw him today in the square – I loved the prince routine, purple rain is a stupid song!

  3. […] On the way home, the weather rewarded my stubborn defiance with a show of sun through the clouds. Too little too late. But I thought this turn in the weather was good news for the buskers who are in town for the annual World Buskers Festival in Christchurch. My vote is for Mario Queen of the Circus, definitely one of the better buskers, oh and Mulletman has a sweet mullet, as the name suggests. I’ll see you at the Comedy Club on either Tuesday or Wednesday, and I’ll be expecting Michelle to document it thoroughly! […]
