Quail Island

quail

I spent a lovely afternoon walking around Quail Island which is about 10 minutes by boat from Lyttelton. It’s quite a stunning location and I strongly recommend that you hop on the ferry and explore it for yourself. It was once a leprosy colony, and animals were also quarantined there. It has some interesting history, but it’s the views I really went for.

The scene is so perfect it almost seems surreal. What a lovely place to visit. Great composition.
