Seagull Theft Disclaimer

The sign on the counter at Scarborough Fare Cafe. By the way, I had one of their afghan biscuits (cookies) while I was there and they were delicious (if you’re not familiar with them they are made of cocoa and corn flakes with rich chocolate icing on the top and a walnut or two).

I wonder if seagulls just do it to keep themselves amused … idle hands and all that 🙂 ps ive found the photo blogs a great way to get a bit of a preview of my US/Mexico trip next month, thanks for the links

I’ve sat at that cafe and the seagulls did not bother me at all, they must have been ‘full up’ that day.

Seagulls are real opportunists, they see a chance and they are in there. I feed the duck on leeds/liverpool canal and if there are gulls around they will steal the bread from the ducks mouth, now thats wrong! I do not go down there to feed the gulls…

One of my friends mentioned to me that her Mother lost most of her bacon to a seagull at this very cafe!
