This is a stunning bird, but I had to chuckle because from the portal it looked like it was wearing a tank top.

Such interesting coloring – it looks like it is wearing a little white jumper. The head and wings are iridescent like the rock dove (pigeon) here – although your wood pigeon’s coloring is darker. I’ve just started a bird watching blog to accompany my city daily photo blog so am very hooked on bird photos now. Very nice photo.

Hi Michele,
In 1987b I was trekking in the Oxford forest and I saw on top of a branch over my head this stunning vision of a Kereru looking at me with his red eye, He was so wonderful with his emerald green and white feathers with the blue sky background. it let me a very strong emotion of pure beauty
