Mum, with her baby meerkats seen at Orana Wildlife Park. They were so cute! Dad was up a tree keeping look out.
They are such interesting characters I couldn’t stop at one picture.

Michelle, great photos! One meekat is never enough, we have several in Leeds. Oddly I only found out when friend in Minnesota asked me if I had seen them. Small world.

What would the world be like if all families, especially human, had parents as good as these. I wonder.
Your photograph is, by the way, excellent.

Meerkats are fascinating. What a privilege to see them up close and personal like this. Super shots of this family.

I hear these loveable little critters have a decent bite on them if you happen to put your fingers to close 🙂 Great set of photos!

I suspect they are good parents. I could have stayed and watched them for hours, and was just about to go when they all finally stopped running around and grouped together like this. Probably because a zoo keeper had entered their enclosure to fill in the burrows they had made (they were watching her every move)!
