A daily photo from Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand
Christchurch lies on the Canterbury Plains – and this is part of the plains as snapped during a flight from Christchurch to Dunedin. There was some low cloud which stopped me from getting a shot of the Southern Alps mountain range – which are just out of shot (they lie to the West – and this pic looks towards the West). The plains are a patchwork of grazing fields and crops.
Good photo, it doesn’t look too dry there at the moment.
