It is the Canterbury A & P show today (it’s actually the Royal show this year and Princess Anne is visiting).

The show is  held in Christchurch every year and is a mix of agricultural displays, fun park and exhibitions. I went along to have a look at the displays, and the farm animals (and got to see the cutest four day old kid goat).

My friend and I also caught the New Zealand band Opshop playing live for the audience. They are really good and have some great songs – check them out at http://www.opshopmusic.com/

p.s I love his t-shirt!  I was a big fan of the Mr Men as a kid…
