This is the lodge at the Terrace Downs Resort. Can you tell from the tussock that it was windy? It’s often quite windy there and more blustery than gentle! Can you believe they built a world class golf course there? You’d have to be good to play in the wind I experienced. Despite the wind, it is a beautiful place, and if you are lucky enough to stay there as I was you’ll get to experience a little bit of luxury. It was particularly relaxing watching the sun go down over the mountains while drinking a nice New Zealand white wine.

The resort looks beautiful but the scenery is awesome. I dont play golf, but I would love to hit a ball with the wind to see how far it would go.
