A close-up of a stone gargoyle with wings, positioned in a garden center with a bright yellow sign reading 'Waltham Bridge Home & Garden' in the background.

I frequently drive over the Waltham over bridge, but today was the first time I’d noticed a garden centre specialising in garden figurines had opened up right by the bridge. Not sure how long its been there, but it has an interesting mix of garden ornaments. The wire gate was locked up and no one was around, but they’d placed two gargoyles right at the entrance behind the gate – no doubt left there to guard the place! They look spooky and I would never have them in any garden I owned!

…. The exact same reason why you should place it in your garden! 🙂

This is so bizarre; the light and shadow on him looks different from that on the other ornaments, he looks like a cardboard cutout!

My camera was on auto flash – so I think that explains the difference in shadows, but now that I look at it, it does make it even spookier!

Just what I need! Our garden ornaments are always disappearing, especially during summer. Will certainly visit the Waltham overbridge – thanks.
