We took a walk around Te Kuru Wetlands in Halswell today. The wetlands capture and treat stormwater and reduces the risk of flooding – particularly of the Heathcote river. It’s planted extensively in New Zealand native plants and has wide flat paths for walkers and cyclists. Today was the perfect weather for a look around.
You can get to the car park for the wetlands by driving to 689 Cashmere Road, Halswell.
