
We took a day trip to Akaroa today. It’s still pretty and quirky! Today’s finds included a cafe that’s also a rummage sale with at least one free range chicken roaming amongst the cafe’s garden, and a teddy bear that’s the stuff of nightmares.

We took a day trip to Akaroa today. It’s still pretty and quirky! Today’s finds included a cafe that’s also a rummage sale with at least one free range chicken roaming amongst the cafe’s garden, and a teddy bear that’s the stuff of nightmares.

Glad to see Akaroa hasn’t changed too much over the years. Judging from the way the yachts are aimed, it appears the tide is still rising as water is still entering the harbour (I notice little things like this). And judging from where that free range chicken is located, I imagine the locals have already given it a name, a French name perhaps?
