Kahikatea Common is a new public space in the South Frame – in the block between Montreal, Durham, Tuam and St Asaph streets. The large mural is by artist Anne McDonald.

Nice piece of art work. You have also captured from a perfect angle. Not sure about the species of the bird. Is it a New Zealand native bird or an Asian species? Is this an orintal magpie-robin?

Native birds – the fantail and the New Zealand wood pigeon.
