A daily photo from Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand
This is a boring photo for most people, but exciting for people like me who used to use the Towpath track in Ferrymead. Before the earthquakes you could walk off the Ferrymead Bridge and onto the track – but that got shut down and the track got overgrown after the quakes. But as you can see they are now working on this section and from what I’ve seen of the plans there will be a nice path joining up with the track for cyclists.
I find my eyes drawn to the terrain in the background.
