The iconic trams are back up and running as of today. I saw a stationary tram in the Junction the other day, but it appears it was only being taken for a test run. Now the trams are up and running for locals and visitors. To learn more visit www.tram.co.nz.
This is a red letter day for Christchurch and one of those ‘getting back to normal’ moments.
I took a short video of the tram going down New Regent Street – unfortunately it started raining so you can hear the sound of the rain on my umbrella!
