As part of the Reconnect Heritage event that was on this weekend, I went along to Christ’s College to view what is called the Big School. This building used to be the entire school and all of the lessons were taught here, but today it is the school’s library.

Christ’s College is an independent boy’s school and was part of the original Anglican founding of Christchurch. It is one of the oldest schools in New Zealand.

I love all the architectural elements here, and especially the view into the library with the bookshelves. The whole place is quite a treasure!
