Spotted on Manchester Street. Manchester Street has been open to the public for the last week or so. It had been behind the red zone cordon since the September 2010 earthquakes. It’s a truly sobering experience walking down the street. In many ways it was worse and better than I was expecting – as there were probably more buildings standing than I expected, but some intersections (Cashel Street in particular) are wastelands.
