Foggy Morning at the New Brighton Pier

I was at New Brighton Pier this morning to meet friends for coffee at the Salt on the Pier  cafe. I did not take my camera along, as I’ve taken a lot of pier photos over the years. So mother nature decided to give me a small reminder that I should never leave the house without my real camera! The fog was very dramatic. I had my cellphone handy (Samsung Galaxy II), so luckily I got a shot. I never expected it to be any good though, so I’m rather pleased. It’s had a little bit of work done on it in Lightroom and Photoshop, but not much.

Repeat after me, Never Leave the House without your Camera!

Here’s the video I took of the beach while the Tsunami siren was being test. Not loud enough I think.

    Speaking of never leaving home without a camera, I used to have dreams like this where I would find myself in some most amazing places and then go to reach for my camera only to find that I had forgotten to bring it along! And you know how dreams can be, and the most unbelievably beautiful places they can tease you with – the impact was however very much the same, even after I had awoken.

    So glad you had a backup so you could still capture all this! Love the video clip also as it creates a nice additional perspective giving one the feeling of actually being there too 🙂
