…an answer from EQC. I don’t know the story behind this present shaped building in Lyttelton. But clearly they’ve had enough of dealing with the Earthquake Commission. The ‘red tape’ and paper work that people are dealing with every day is one of the things that really drags people down – the aftermath of a natural disaster on the scale we’ve had is a minefield of bureaucratic hoop jumping. I feel really sorry for the people who can not move on with their lives because of these types of issues – you can’t just deal with it like liquefaction or broken stuff on the floor.
