A community book exchange in a fridge – corner of Kilmore and Barbadoes Streets

I had heard about the book fridge book exchange via the Press article. I immediately resolved to go visit it and add my own book and of course record that in photos for the blog. The book exchange is another project from Gap Filler – who are doing a great job of filling up all of those depressing vacant lots we now have.

Placing the book I left behind into the fridge

I left a book and took a book. The book I left is the one pictured – The Time Traveler’s Wife. If you pick it up it’s a great story, but if you are at all sentimental then you will need to have a box of tissues handy. The book I took was Tony Parson’s Man and Boy – I skim-read the first two pages and he had me hooked.

I like this idea, handy use for an old fridge. Its a while since I read Man and Boy but I do like his work.
