This is the MV Tuhoe schooner. I had hoped to go for a sail on it today, but unfortunately the trip was cancelled due to high winds and high water levels. Oh well, maybe another time! Kaiapoi is a small town about 20 minutes north of Christchurch. I don’t know it very well and was not aware of the schooner until I started looking for fun things to do this weekend. It turned out to be a lovely day today, even though it started off with rain, and those strong winds never eventuated!

That looks a great fun way to spend some time, pity about the weather, but there will I am sure be another day.
