A daily photo from Ōtautahi, Christchurch, New Zealand
Located on the corner of Victoria and Montreal. It was built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. It is made of volcanic stone and limestone with ornate wrought iron work with coloured glass around part of the tower with four faces.
A beautiful piece of architecture – very ornate. I recall seeing the clock tower when I visited Christchurch, but obviously did not look up to see the detail.

a magnificent church tower. Just imagine the expense to build and I wonder what the local people thought about it at that time? It might be interesting research.
