Avon River, River Road in Autumn
I frequently drive along Avonside Drive thinking I wish I could stop and take a photo – as during this time of the year the river is just stunning with the amazing colours and reflections. Well today, I purposely drove there as I knew it would be beautiful late this afternoon.

Blossom Tree by the Avon River
A lovely (and I think reasonably recent edition) to the Avon River bank on Oxford Terrace. I can never get enough of Christchurch’s blossom trees. And they are here for such a short time that you just have to get out and make the most of them.

Daffodils in Cathedral Square
I’ve never noticed these daffodils in the Cathedral Square before, so am not sure if they have only recently been planted there. It’s certainly a lovely touch though. I vote for daffodils everywhere.

Beautiful Tree on Oxford Terrace
This stunning tree stands on the corner of Oxford Terrace and Kilmore Street by the Avon river. I always admire it when I drive by. I was hoping to capture it in the late afternoon sunshine, but it clouded. Apparently the tree is a Gingko biloba (Maidenhair Tree)
